The EyeStand for DEI taskforce is hard at work building a culture of inclusion that will focus on cultivating empathy for the remainder of this year. See below for new ERG Meet and Greet dates, Book Club details and an upcoming roundtable.

Meet and Greets

Meet and Greet sessions have been rescheduled for September 28 at noon ET and September 30 at 3 pm ET. Find out more about EyeStand for BIPOC, EyeStand for Women and EyeStand for Pride by clicking on the attached appointments (check The Word email) to accept 1 of the 2 meetings. Additionally, mark your calendars for kick-off meetings for each ERG:

  • EyeStand with BIPOC: October 4, 4 pm ET
  • EyeStand with Pride: October 11, 4 pm ET
  • EyeStand with Women: October 12, 4:30 ET

Book Club announces new title

To coincide with the cultivating empathy theme, the Book Club will be reading a new title, Allies and Advocates: Creating an Inclusive and Equitable Culture by Amber Cabral. EyeMed will cover the cost for the first 50 people to order the book. All others are welcome to purchase the book. Roundtable discussion planned

EyeStand is planning a roundtable discussion with leaders and members of the DEI Taskforce before the Thanksgiving holiday to further engage on the topic of cultivating empathy. Stay tuned for more information on how you can take part.
